My career started with a chance introduction to a darkroom in my teens. The images appearing in the developing tray was like pure magic — I was hooked. Like the fixer chemical, I hung around that darkroom like a bad smell. Cutting my teeth with analogue photo editing techniques and digesting the work of hundreds of photographers and creatives was an invaluable foundation.

Since that time I’ve gone on to build a successful photography and video production studio. Producing product launches, share holder announcements, internal comms, training materials, advertising and scripted content.

With a shift in focus towards more creative productions in recent years, I began working freelance as Gaffer and DP on independent films — even directing my first short in 2024. Long may it last.
